I have a pocket full of sunshine,
Travels with me wide and far,
Paints my days in glowing colour,
sprinkles nighttime with a star.
I have a pocket full of sunshine,
And it shines across the land,
With its generosity and warmth,
A soft and caring hand.
I have a pocket full of sunshine,
If you listen close you’ll hear:
A tinkling of cheeky laughter,
An “ooh” or “whey” or “yeerrr”.
I have a pocket full of sunshine,
If I’m knocked by heavy days,
I feel its glowing sunbeams,
and I’m strengthened by its rays.
I have a pocket full of sunshine
We can never be apart,
For it’s you who is the sunshine,
And the pocket’s in my heart.
